Week 2

Hey Fam and Everyone!
I am going to be petty and say I actually expect an email next week before Tuesday day because we look forward to this all week and I want to hear what is going on! ;) Hows Lauren?! ( something was wrong with her emails but it is fixed now)

MAN! I just have so much time to myslef and I feel so independant. I am so relaxed and do different stuff everday! #SAIDNOMISSIONARYEVER!  It is GOGOGO here all day long and sleeping is my favorite part of the day hah! I also love physical time, we play alot of volley ball and soccer but no basketball because the court have no grip! We call it iceskating when we do go play!
I love my district and we are all super social - but me and my comp kinda stay out of that a little. We know why we are here and stay focused on using all our free time studying. One Hermana said to me, " Hermana Quist I love your sense of humor. The way you say things is just so funny!" Literallly made my day and made it so I don't have to try and be social anymore because they know I am already funny haha!

We went proselyting on Saturday and it was....hard/ successfull. We ended up getting 3 investigators- and alot of doors shut on us, so we called it a good day. Teaching in Spanish your first 2 weeks is crazy! They were like - go teach in a language you don't know in a country you dont know. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet. But it ended well and that's all I can ask for. I am starting to have a big testimony of how the Holy Ghost will not only protect us, but guide us to where we need to go and what we need to say.
How is OZZY? They have so many dogs down here. It's kinda scary, but what is even crazier is how poor these people live. They have newspapers for windows and planks of wood for doors. And this wasn't even the worst part of town! It is also pretty dirty everywhere! I miss AMERICA! The MTC is super nice and clean and safe ( water and bacteria wise) so its great.
We went to the temple today for PDay then shopping at a place called Totus which is basically Walmart! Its great! The temple is so small but I love how the church is so consistant everywhere, no matter where you go "God never changes".
Sundays are my favourite - You just get spiritually fed. We watch videos of Holland and other apostles. Holland basically lays it down and tell us how we " Do not have the RIGHT to disgrace or do anything different then what is expected of us here becuase of all of the thousands of missionaries before us and the call and banner which we now hold"  This is not our time but the Lords! Also we focus alot on how our first convert must be oursleves!
Alma 26:27 - This verse got me through the first week when I was discouraged and will probably sustain me throughout my mission. The cure for discouragment is work!
I miss you guys and I try not to think about it too much or it will hurt too bad. I never thought I would be the homesick type but I miss everything about it! I miss all my little cousins so much! And everyone else! I love you all and I hope you all know how much God loves his children. I know it becuase and can feel it - His love it motivating me to work and bring them to Him.
Yo se que JesuCristo es mi Salvador y Jose Smith es un  propheta. La Iglesia es verdad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Hermana Quist!
