Week 51

Shelby meeting her sister for the first time
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo It was so great talking to you guys and I think I need to repent about telling you guys about the shooting because it freaked mom out too much. I'm so sorry! But look how great the spirit protected us! Yesterday after skyping the crazy naked lady that lives in Nasca started throwing rocks at us! Just to freak you guys out some more!
Seeing my baby sister made her seem more real! But still it's hard to believe that she is real! She is soooooooo cute! Just like me when I was a baby no? hahah And getting to talk to Adam in Spanish was so fun! I was so suprised how well he speaks in Spanish! It was great! He is already such a missionary. He also looks so old! All in all it was amazing, but I feel bad if I wasn't happy dandy enough, but it was just a hard day. Alex don't worry bud you are my favorite brother in the USA haha.  I love you so much and I know you love me because you always send me your sweet drawings. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Everyone who reads this ( if people even read it) do you all agree that Wendy is the best mom ever!? Es Verdad.

This week we were blessed to hear from a 70, Elder Grow. He instructed us about goals. We were doing it all wrong hah. I can't share all he taught us, but just so you know, our goal of baptisms is 9. NINE! What the heck are we thinking! Well I will tell you! We were inspired by the spirit and our faith! We always ask our investigators to pray and receive personal revelation ¨Will you read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if its true?¨ Now we have to apply that to ourselves, ¨Will you Hermana Quist pray to know how many people God has prepared for you to baptize in the month of June. Now we have to go wooooooooooork so hard. And the only way to do this is through FAMILIES! We have a new rule that if we can't pass by a couple in the street without talking to them! So we are talking to familias! It's how we can establish the church here in Peru more.

Funny story. The other day I went to a deli and one of the workers turned to the other worker and said "Charge her double.  She is American". Then u said in Spanish "Excuse me, I can understand you". You gotta watch out for the Peruvians. Haha.

So basically that's all I got for this week.  I love my family and I love my Savior. My faith is really being tried in these last months and I have learned or better said I am in the middle of learning alot about the way God works and how the power of his atonement applies to me. It's hard. It's worth it all.
