Also did you here there is a war going on here. The Chilenos and the Peruanos! They really hate the people from Chile here!

Nasca is just getting hotter and hotter- Look I have a tan!

I HAD TWO BAPTIZMS! THE DROUGHT IS OVER!
One of them ( not in the pic) is named Axel and he is the same age as Alex and he is obsessed with Avatar and that's what we talk about all the time! It was so sweet watching Hermana Faviana be baptized! She was soooooo nervous and her son baptized her and he is recently re activated and it's so happy making to see a family that is now growing in the church. Receiving covenants and progressing too salvation! Ah!

>We also have a new investigater called Alexis! He is going to get baptized next month! We found 9 new people last week! Vista Alegre Nasca is a area of gold!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting closer with my complaion and I am trying to let her take chrage now to learn more.

Sometimes dogs come to church too! We couldn't count him as an investigator because  I never got his name! jajaj! #welcometoperu!!!!!!!!

Week 35

Hey Everyone!

Nasca is so great. President Douglas came and he got all spiritual and said that this is the site of a major city from the Book of Mormon and this is sacred ground. He also said how this area is about to explode and grow bastante. I am very happy to be here in this area. Even if it is soooooooo hot I wish I could die everyday haha. We have 2 baptisms this Saturday and I am very happy with that. It's also the most calm area ever and safe. It's pretty small. We don't have a ward just a small branch. We just burn all Sunday long in this small house church.

The main things that happened this week are my interview with president and  intercambios. President Sean Douglas is a man of God. He breaths the spirit and is an amazing man. We get an interview with him every 3 months or so. These interviews are about 7 minuits long and life changing. I'm super happy in my mission but somhow he can make me cry every single interview because he just gives us 7 minutes of the spirit. Like an injection of spirit and power! "Why do you always make me cry!" "I don't mean to Hermana Quist!" He is probably the best man in the world and I'm not kidding. Man I wish you could know him! I will just say that I'm here to learn alot about how much God loves me. I have a testimony that we need to suffer to be able to feel the love of God. It seems like I never have anything to suffer through but I think I must because I really know God loves me. Sacrifice is something I have been thinking about alot lately and I know that when we are feeling good it's because we are sharing our burden with the Lord My new favorite scripture is Matthew 11; 28-30. It has a new meaning and I know I need to give my burdens to the Lord.

We also had intercambios with the Sister leaders and I learned to be more bold with my baptism invitations and contacts. Faith really works by the way! "Hey Hermana Maldonado we are going to put  a baptism date on someone today" And guess what we did and we literally had nothing planned. I read what Carter said about the 8:25 miracle and I testify to that. We call it the 9:15 miracle and it is a great mercy of the Lord!

We did service today and cleaned a pig pen. I GOT POOP IN MY EYE and all over my face. I freaked out of course and the Elders thought it was the funniest thing in the world. I'm having a great time. My companion is the sweetest and I'm training her so I'm giving her all my knowledge and she is definitely teaching me too. She is 27 and from Honduras!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! Says my whole zone. I love the pictures of my sister.

Question for all of you!!!!!!!!!! Did Jesus Christ brush his teeth?

3rd Nephi 19:25 and 30!!!!

Week 34

Fam Bam- A little bit bigger than last time I was home. This doesn't even seem real. I can't believe it, if I wasn't the one that found the pregnancy test myself.

Mom you are such a great example to me. So strong and every loves you! Everyone just writes me about how great and strong you were and are! The more I see these families here that are broken and have such troubled I know we are so blessed! We are sealed and we are forever. We are faithful and we will get to the end! I am so happy and I can't say that enough.

II wish I was there to hold her. I can't evern imagine it! I love her already! Is that possible!?

So Adam leaves soon huh? Wow. I can't wait to hear his stories!

I am really liking Nasca. I think and hope that we are really helping this area. Because with 2 sets of missionaries we can get so much more almas! The elders said that is weird becuase now that we got here all the leaders are actually doing stuff, They are all having the meetings and being all excited! So I have alot of hope! And we had 27 lessons this week! We are hastening the work!!!!

I love you guys andIi love my family sooooooooo much! I am so thankfull this all worked out!

Week 33

EMERGENCY TRANSFER #3!!!!!!!!!!!

So I have been transferred to Nasca ( go look it up)! Let's just say I got transferred for our own good. Maybe one of those after mission stories haha. Don't worry we are great! It's hot and in the middle of the desert. But we are right by the Lines of Nasca which are super famous. When I knew I was going to Nasca and asked an Elder about it he said .. have fun in hell...Not that it's bad,  just that it's as hot as hell. And it is! It's soooooo hot I'm sweating as we speak! My new comp is great and I finally have another lantina! My Spanish will now start to progress again! Our house is brand new and great. No hot water, but who wants that when its 150 degrees outside.

We are trying to learn our area super fast and it's great so far. We are opening an area so they are suppppper excited to have us here! And hermanas too! Everyone loves Hermanas! The Chruch here is just a little house that fits about 80 people. Also sooooo many people here are members, but everyone is less active. We have alot of work to do and I feel good about this area. It's just hard to open and area because there is NOTHING! But it's new and a challenge and fun.

Last night we ate cow heart.MMMMMMMMMM

I'm here in Nasca with my first comp from the MTC and we are so excited to be here in the same zone! The mission is such a great place to make friends for life!!!!! Also leaving old areas is the hardest thing to do ever! Especially when we were about to have a baptism this next week. Also when you are so connected with the members. And my comp Herman Wickline..we were having a great time but it's cool. I just have to sing in my head all the time- I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go¨ It's true though. It doesn't  matter what I feel like. I'll do what he wants me to do. I know it's so common to say this but it helps alot to say to yourself ¨forget yourself and go to work¨ And that's what I hope to do better! I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and I have a sure knowledge of Him and His role. There is no doubt and especially when I'm out here seeing these people have THE SAME testimony and experiences that I have. There is no work more important or vital to ones salvation. And I love the work!

Hermana Quist!

Week 32

OK so this holiday week has been pretty crazy! And talking to you guys was the best thing ever. I didn't expect to cry that much haha. But I'm back to normal now! I also just think our family is the best in the world...because it is. I thank God everyday for you guys. WHY AM I SO LUCKY AND BLESSED!? Sorry if I totally preached to you guys and talked too much and was an awkward missionary

So I got a mean cold this week. It's alright because it will just make my comp so she has to talk more because I can't hehehe. Look at this sweet pic of these masks we bought. I couldnt resist. I also got so much coiol Peruana stuff this Pday! I love peru!!!!!!!!!!

So this is a pic of the fire works on Christmas. It so doesn't do it justice, but it was soooo amazing. Every single street had thousands of fireworks going off. I heard New Years is worse! So well see.

I really can't think of more to tell you guys right now. All I can think of is- I'm so hot, I feel like dying. But now my comp is fanning me with a pamphlet of the restoration, so I feel better. How did I get a cold......Oh! I just remembered somehting! So we have been told that for the health of my comp we should start cooking for oursleves. So yepp I don't know how to cook....Especially inPeru. Send me recipes? She can have rice and chicken and potatoes and noodles. No gluten, no lactose Yepppp!

Ok I love you guys! Mom I hope you get that baby out of you soon! I love you! And yes send me videos!
